Gordon Cheung’s landscapes oscillate between the Utopic and Dystopic. Spray paint, oil, acrylic, pastels, Financial Times and ink collide in his works to form epic techno-sublime vistas that are as one critic described ‘as bold and cold as a Warhol screenprint’. Cheung graduated from the Royal College of Arts, won many awards, residencies and selected for numerous competitions. He is currently exhibiting in what is regarded as the most important exhibition in the UK art calendar; The British Art Show 6, touring for 1 year starting at the BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art organized by the Hayward Gallery. His work has recently been acquired by Stephane Janssen for extended loan to the Arizona State Museum.
